Painted fields
Kiki van Eijk lets an imaginary flower girl drop patches of color on a grass landscape. Fuchsia pink and dark brown in a bright meadow of green create an effect that invokes summer. Optimistic, lively and young. The green Kiki selected had to be somewhere between bright green and grass green. She was inspired by Swedish moss landscapes, spring flowers and summer fruit.
But green floors often look rather greyish. So within the existing Marmoleum range Kiki preferred the Piano structure: an almost plain floor with snippets of color. In the green she applied droplets of brown and pink. From a distance the impression is green; only in close-up the contrasting color bands come to life like abstract brush strokes in a playful almost musical rhythm.
